If you have ever worried about how you would handle a threatening situation without a weapon handy you have come to the right place. There are many great self defense techniques you can use depending on the situation. You can do some damage to the perpetrator if you know where on the hands and feet to attack them. Both have plenty of smaller bones and some that are quite strong so just getting in a few techniques at the right place is going to be very powerful. Too many people plan on using their hands to fight off a perpetrator. What will you do if they have you securely held by both of your arms? You can use your feet and your legs to help you break free. Regardless of the direction the perpetrator has you facing you may be able to break bones in their feet. The heel of your foot is the strongest bone in your body. Use it to attack areas on the legs and feet of the perpetrator. You don't want to use other parts of your own foot because if you injure them it will be extremely difficult for you to run away once you are able to break loose. To get plenty of force behind the action, raise your knee up as high as you can. Slam it down with all your force so that the heel of your foot hits the perpetrator before any other part of your body does. If your back is to the person bring your legs up behind you like a mule does before they kick. If you have on boots or high heels the kick will be even more effective. However it should be forceful enough to do some damage regardless of the type of shoes you are wearing. This type of kick can easily damage or even break a knee cap. If you are able to ram your head backwards at the same time you kick. You can bust open their nose or lips doing this. Many men are expecting a kick in the groin so they will hold you so it can't be done. What they won't be expecting though is for you to reach out with your hand and pinch the area as hard as you can. If you can't reach the groin area then go for the inside of the thighs as close as you can to the testicles. It will be very painful for them indeed. Some people worry about the amount of injury they will be doing to themselves if they perform such unarmed self defense techniques. While you may experience some pain or bruising for a few days it is much better than the alternative. You may end up being robbed, beaten, raped, or even killed. The longer the perpetrator has you under his control the more risk you have of suffering from such fates. It is important that you try to remain calm because you may only get one chance to make your move. Don't get into a hurry and don't be afraid to go for it. In most instances you will end up suffering more from an attack if you don't fight them then if you do all you can to end the attack before it has gone very far. Most perpetrators are looking for easy victims. If they learn that you are going to be a fighter they will likely take off. While self defense sprays and tools are very effective you can't always count on being about to have them available when you need them. Knowing different self defense techniques you can use that require only your body is a great way to make sure you are able to defend yourself if a situation does ever come your way. |
