Self Defense Tactics E-mail
There are rules for people to follow when using self defense tactics. Here are six tactics that will help you defend yourself:

Self Defense Tactics no. 1
Know what the law is – Most states have assault laws that state if you threaten to your attacker with the words such as "I will kick your ass" or respond to such a threat with "go ahead and try, let me see what you can do", even you will be charged as a participant in the fight. Therefore it is much better to know what the law states rather then having your own interpretation of self defense. For people who resort to self defense tactics could find themselves charged with assault and even sued for compensation by their burglars.

Self Defense Tactics no. 2
React Quickly – When confronted by strangers you have limited choices either Fight of Flee. You must know this in advance to prepare yourself as much as you can. Will you run or will you stand the ground? What if the assailant is armed? Condition your mind to react with "if this is the case then I will do this".

Self Defense Tactics no. 3
Keep cool and have presence of mind – To disarm an intruder or an assailant you need great presence of mind and skill. Even highly trained soldiers who are seldom trained to kill cannot always pull the trigger in anger. So always keep a cool head.

Self Defense Tactics no. 4
Hit him - Hit him hard – If you decide to hit him then you have to go for it 110 percent. You have to finish what you started. If you cannot frighten him off then at least you have to disarm him or hit him until he cannot move. If he is determined to beat the hell out of you and you hurt him slightly, he will come back on you like a wounded animal.

Self Defense Tactics no. 5
Use surrounding objects as Missiles – Don't worry if you do not have any self defense equipments such as a pepper spray or stunt guns. Use whatever you can find. Many household objects can be used as defensive weapons. The kitchen is particularly filled with such self defense objects. Use objects that are heavy or anything that is made up of glass. Any sharp-ended object, such as wooden spoon, a pen or a toothbrush, can also be turned into a weapon of self defense.

Self Defense Tactics no. 6
Use your mind and body – If the assailant comes directly for you, use everything you have and all the objects near you. Poke, jab, strike at his eyes, put fingers in nose, press his throat as hard as you can. Thumbs gouged into corners of eyes and fingers pushed up noses as far as they will go are particularly effective. Bend fingers backwards, quickly, until they snap - this is more easily achieved than might be thought.
