There are almost equal women cheating on men. Their reasons to have extra-marital affairs are quite interesting as well.

The latest infidelity studies indicate that percentage-wise the gap is closing between cheating husbands in comparison to the percentage of cheating wives. However, even though more men are now becoming victims of infidelity, the fact still remains that 70% of infidelity victims are women. What’s interesting though, is that men and women who are cheating on their spouses give different reasons to justify their extramarital affairs.

The top reasons that women gave for their infidelity was to attach to someone new to fulfill their emotional needs and more attention.

• Desire to emotional closeness and intimacy ( to have someone to care and to confide in )
• Desire for attention ( to be the center of a guy’s attraction )
• To feel desirable again ( to get a feeling of a desired woman again )
• To re-feel the love ( re-experience the romance again )
• To make the self feel ‘special’
• Boredom ( sitting at home or with a routine pattern )
• Loneliness
• Sexual Excitement

Guys Cheat for Sex, Ladies cheat for emotional attachments. Above are not the only reasons why men and women cheat on each other. There may be many excuses but these were the prime reasons given by cheating husbands and wives who agreed to disclose their personal affairs.
