reason behind the cheating first. We could go on and debate on the answer to this question for hours but it may be best put this simply — because they can. This may sound pretty dismal, but listen out ladies, if you do not keep a good eye on your husbands they may wander astray. Of course, having faith in your husband's faithfulness may be one of your main wedding vows but checking on him from time to time wouldn't hurt. In fact, many men say that they feel cared for and great concern when their wives actually make it a point to check up on them. This doesn't mean that you have to be a hawk on your husband 24/7, but of course you can send him a message when he's running late or misses a lunch with you. If they lack attention from you, they will miss it and this may lead to them seeking the attention elsewhere (which is of course not what we want). By checking up on your husband you are not only showing him that you care but you are also taking extra special care of your relationship altogether.

From polls made to willing anonymous male studies, there were a number of popular "excuses" given to their wives in order to check out for a date with another woman. Among these "excuses" the following were the most popular:
- Late work meeting with the boss
- Business outing with the co-workers
- Even enrolling their son/daughter in an extracurricular class which the child wouldn't even take was used as an excuse!
- Packing their work schedule extremely tight so that you actually get used to his not being there.
- Blaming you for not doing things right or not "being there" for him, in turn making you feel guilty, when actually he's the one with something to hide
- Male time with the officemates or "buddies"
