What is an IP Camera? An IP camera, in very simple terms, is a web-camera that does not require you to attach it to a running computer to view video and images from it. In other words, an IP camera is a web-camera and a web-server in one package, which once installed, can be accessed inside your home network or over the internet from anywhere in the world. People the world over are using IP cameras to address their monitoring, security and surveillance needs in various scenarios. IP cameras provide you a very convenient way of keeping an eye on your home or business premises. IP cameras are produced by a large number of manufacturers, and are available at very affordable prices. What is NeverBlinks? NeverBlinks is a web-browser based, Always-ON service that can monitor and record video from your IP camera, round the clock. With NeverBlinks, all you need to record video from your IP camera and detect intrusion is a working IP camera on your premises. You don't need to maintain a camera monitoring software running round the clock on a computer. Just schedule recording and/or intruder detection sessions on NeverBlinks, and sit back. What are the advantages of using NeverBlinks? Numerous.
Who should use NeverBlinks?
How does NeverBlinks work? NeverBlinks grabs images from your IP camera over the internet, stores them on our secure server, and performs theft detection tasks on the images if so requested by you. It provides you a web-browser based interface to schedule jobs, view recordings and edit settings. Which cameras are supported? We currently support a wide array of cameras. We can, practically , support any camera which captures jpeg images and makes them available for access over the internet. We promise to sort the problem out within 48 hours. What NeverBlinks is not? NeverBlinks is not a streaming video recording service, as speed at which we can grab images from your camera is constrained by the bandwidth constraints on your side, our side, and everywhere in between. We only guarantee that we would grab images at an approximate rate of around 1 frame per second, and provide very effective intruder detection services. The frame-rate is however bound to go up as we do more enhancements in our software to support encoded video streams from your camera. Does NeverBlinks provide IP cameras to work with the service? No. NeverBlinks supports a wide array of cameras, and works with the cameras installed and working on your premises. We provide help to resolve any interoperability problems of your working IP cameras with NeverBlinks. How much do I have to pay for subscribing this service? NeverBlinks is completely free during our ongoing Limited Beta Trials. You will not be charged anything for your usage of NeverBlinks during this period. Once NeverBlinks becomes a paid service, you'll be notified well in advance, and your accounts would not be deleted. You will continue to be able to use a decent set of functionality on NeverBlinks even if you don't sign up for a paid membership. Additionally, all our Beta Users would receive special offers on membership fees when we become paid. Can I get personal technical support? All users get technical support during our on-going limited beta trials. This includes help with using the web interface and other features. Personal technical support for camera configuration is not provided. You will need to contact your camera vendor for help in this area. All users can report bugs, request features, and get help with billing or upgrade issues. What does it mean that NeverBlinks is in limited beta? Beta is referring to the fact that we are continuously working on improving the service. Beta is not referring to any issue with security or the functions already available. Your data is secure on NeverBlinks. How many cameras can I add? Four. You can request for a premium account if you want to access more than 4 cameras on NeverBlinks. |
